Forsaken Autumn-「Whenere」CD/cassette tape
Forsaken Autumn is a Shanghai-based band formed by britlululu together with Ecke, a uniquely understated female musician in China known for her Slowcore and Dreampop style. The band participated in two editions of the Self-Appreciation Music Festival organized by britlululu’s label Luuv Label. After the release of their EP Whenere, they flew to Taiwan in March 2016 to perform at the 3rd Leave No Trace But Gaze Taiwan Self-Appreciation Music Festival, sharing the stage with Taiwan’s TuT, Japan’s Ethers Feels, and Hong Kong’s Sea of Tranquility. In September 2016, the band embarked on their first nationwide autumn tour and later performed at Hong Kong’s You Dreamer Music Festival, also serving as a supporting act for bands such as The Bilinda Butchers, Yuck, and Childs.
The name Forsaken Autumn evokes a mood of alienation, solitude, melancholy, and dreamy beauty. Deeply influenced by shoegaze, dream pop, and coldwave, the band creates a deep-blue, ethereal soundscape that blends britlululu’s alternative pop aesthetics with Ecke’s whispered, dreamlike vocals. The EP Whenere features their signature track “Wallow,” alongside songs like “Limpid,” “Soft Wing,” “Insane,” and “Only Respire,” with the opening track “Vanish Into The Air” setting a quiet yet immersive atmosphere.

Japan’s New City Pop band evening cinema, rapidly rising across Asia, will release their long-awaited mini album AESTHETICS on August 26 simultaneously in Japan and China. Their pre-release single “大人になるまで (Until We Grow Up)” is now out.
Described in one word, AESTHETICS is “romantic yet bittersweet youth.” After two years, the band returns with richer city-pop arrangements and emotional falsetto harmonies, presenting a more sensitive and mature sound. Led by PhD philosopher Harada Natsuki, the album reflects his idea that human imperfection is the truest form of beauty, capturing the band’s emotional philosophy in a refined pop aesthetic.
The album features diverse tracks such as “Pure Love Lesson,” “Neon Lights Are Calling” inspired by Shenzhen, the energetic “Last Chance,” and the introspective “Unfinished Aesthetics,” making AESTHETICS the most representative work of today’s evening cinema.

Quanzhou-based retro-modern indie band WayLife has officially released their 2022 new album Strange Tales.
A mysterious wind opens the book Strange Tales, and the stories begin—from VR cinemas and cat-whiskered humans, to pixel planets, stolen truths, rocket romances, magical record shops, and oxygen-deprived fish. Each track is a surreal short story reflecting love, technology, memory, and the absurdity of modern life.
Blending indie pop with city fantasy and cross-cultural elements (including a Japan–China collaboration with rapper pinoko), Strange Tales is an imaginative concept album about ordinary people drifting between reality and dreams.

Blume popo-「Body Meets Dress」CD
Body Meets Dress is the first EP by alternative rock band Blume popo in four years. After a period of hiatus and their return, the band’s way of working has changed significantly, and this EP can be seen as the first release of Blume popo’s “second chapter.”
The concept of Body Meets Dress centers on self-identity and the self, raising the question: “To what extent is ‘I’ really ‘me,’ and what defines it?” One symbolic answer comes from one’s own “NEW SKIN,” another from others’ “gaze,” or from the primal experiences of “boyhood,” while “逃現郷” represents the ideal place imagined before confronting this question.

Blume popo-「Test for Texture of Text」CD
As suggested by its title Test for Texture of Text, this work is an experiment in lyrical composition. Starting with “彼方高さから躰放った彼方,” written using only the vowel sound “A,” the album includes five songs, each composed entirely with a single vowel (A, I, U, E, O). While enjoying the playful phonetic beauty born from breaking conventional writing rules, listeners are also invited to rediscover the strong meanings revealed through these minimal lyrics.

Nagoya-based shoegaze band Blurred City Lights digitally released their first full-length album In a City Without Angels on Saturday, February 17.
Formed in Nagoya in 2022, Blurred City Lights draw influences from shoegaze, dream pop, alternative rock, and J-pop. Originally a five-piece, the band is now centered around two core members—Kamiya (Vo., Ba., Key.) and Megumi (Gt.)—and performs live as a trio with a support drummer. They have previously released four demo singles—City, Flower, Planet of Rebirth, and Orange—as handmade CDs.

Fully self-produced with a strong DIY spirit—from recording and mixing/mastering to artwork—the album represents both the culmination of their past two years and a new starting point for the band.
